I came into this world on July 4th, 1955, the youngest of six Hogan boys. I was lucky enough to grow up in the suburbs of Boston during the golden age of Rock and Soul. I grew up listening to AM transistor radios, and I wore out my older brother's scratchy 45's. When I was ten years old, The Beatles appeared before me from the screen of a black and white console TV. The first time I saw The Beatles, I knew exactly what I wanted to be: A singer, a musician, and a songwriter. I spent my teen years playing in garage bands and local dances. After high school I went straight out on the road with many different club bands. We travelled by bus across the US and Canada, but most of the time we were based around Boston. The years went by and I settled down. These days I do an occasional club date, but I prefer to write and record. Over forty years later... I'm still that same old day-dreaming kid, here in the suburbs of Boston. ...Still feeling the magic and the power of music, and working very hard to create my own. |
