For those about to cook out- I salute you!!!

Just before the 4th of July I wanted to download some songs for
my upcoming barbecue bash.
There weren't many songs to choose from.
I decided that people need songs to barbecue with.
So I made one up.

This is not a melodic masterpiece, there aren't any amazing
chord changes.
It's not stunningly poetic either.
But it IS fun, and rowdy, and that's good enough for me.

This one has
Frank Sarcia (the Emperor Bolo) on drums.------------->
I told him, "Just bash away and be as sloppy as possible."

After the drums were recorded, we went upstairs and had a few
drinks, then we came back down and recorded the clap tracks,
where we screamed and yelled like idiots for quite a while.
We put more time into acting like idiots than we did recording the
drums.
Later on I dubbed in some other noises too. Dogs, chainsaws, police
cars...you have to listen hard to hear them.

I play the other parts- Dobro,(on the left) Variax Gibson 335,(on
the right) Fender bass, Lee Oskar harmonica, and I bellowed like
a drunken cow.

So grab your cocktail of choice, fire up that grill and dance
around in the smoke of that sizzlin' food.
(after you download it of course)
The stunning poetry:

I just wanna welcome you, here to my backyard barbecue,
I got chicken and ribs and steak tips too,
here at my backyard barbecue,
Hey Hey! All right! All day and all night!

Bring yo Mamma bring your Pa,
Bring that guy with the red guitar,
Tell everybody you ever knew,
Come to my backyard barbecue,
Hey Hey! All right! All day and all night!

HAMBURGER! CORN ON THE COB! CHEESEBURGER!

HOT DOG!!!

BACKYARD BARBECUE! BACKYARD BARBECUE!

I got the wine, you bring the brew,
Come to my backyard barbecue,
If you know what's good for you,
You better come to my backyard barbecue,
Hey Hey! All right! All day and all night!
Hey Hey! All right! All day and all night!

BACKYARD BARBECUE! BACKYARD BARBECUE

HAMBURGER! CORN ON THE COB! CHEESEBURGER!

HOT DOG!!!

BACKYARD BARBECUE! BACKYARD BARBECUE!
etc... straight into the night...
