Eye Candy Girl - words & music by Kenny Hogan
copyright2010 ynnek nagoh productions

Well I see her, every mornin', and I can't believe my eyes,
She come's walkin', by my window baby, and I'm hypnotized,

There ain't nothin' sweeter baby, in this whole wide world,
There ain't nothin', sweeter baby, than a candy girl,

I don't even know her name,
But I love her just the same,

My candy girl, sweet candy girl,
my candy, my eye candy girl

Every mornin', when I wake up,  she's the first thing on my mind,
Every evening, when I'm dreamin', I still can't leave her behind

There ain't nothin' sweeter baby, in this whole wide world,
There ain't nothin', sweeter baby, than a candy girl,

I don't even know her name,
But I know love her just the same,

My candy girl, sweet candy girl,
my candy, my eye candy girl

~[solo]~

There ain't nothin' sweeter baby, in this whole wide world,
There ain't nothin', sweeter baby, than a candy girl,

I only pray I can find a way,
to taste that sweet candy some fine day,

My candy girl, sweet candy girl,
my candy, my eye candy girl
About This Song:

One sunny Sunday morning
I took my old 71 Gibson Dove and
a cup of coffee out on the patio .
I was just noodling around, and
suddenly this song popped into
my head.
I got all three verses and a
chorus within about 5 minutes
without any effort at all.
I ran into the house, got a pen
and a notebook, and my old
cassette recorder so I wouldn’t
forget it, and I taped this:

About 20 minutes later Frank
Sarcia rolled up on his
motorcycle.

I picked up the guitar and sang
the song to him.
“Whadda ya think?” I asked him.

He said, “I think that song sucks.
But I always think that about your
songs, and then they end up
turning out pretty good
eventually.”

Over the next 2 weeks I recorded
the acoustic guitar, the bass, 2
electric guitar parts, the vocals
and then added the harmonica.
For the drums I went back to
Frank.

Two weeks ago this song didn’t
exist, and now it does. That
makes me feel good.

I’m afraid to ask Frank if he likes
it too.
