I can hardly believe it's been this long since I've updated my website!
Oh well, A lot has happened in the last few months.
In December I had rotator cuff surgery on my shoulder which made it
impossible to play guitar. That was followed by pulmonary/heart problems.
These complications nearly took my life on Christmas morning.
I was admitted to the hospital 4 times in 17 days, once by ambulance. I
spent Christmas in intensive care, and New year's eve in a Boston
hospital.
As bad as that was, I now look at it as a gift. It taught me to appreciate my
life and not to take it for granted. I learned that my family and friends
really do care about me, and that my wife is an angel. Never in my life had
people shown me how much they cared about me. It was a wake-up call.
I value my health and my life and my time a lot more these days.
In January I began the process of recovering. As my shoulder began to
heal I found that I was able to play guitar again. I also started writing
some new songs. I sure had some new subject matter to work with.
Again it was clear that what happened to me was a gift.
Now here I am in February. I intend to make a full recovery and I'm
working hard to do it. My new motto is "JUST WATCH ME."
READING WRITING RECORDING RECOVERING.
...That's what I'm doing these days... I have new songs! I have more
stories, and I'll continue posting them on this website, so please come
back and stay tuned...
